Our Family

Over the years, our family has experienced both growth and loss. Layne and Margaret, deeply moved by the rich culture and warmth of the local community, were honored to become the god-parents to Eyamil as their god-son from the indigenous Naso tribe. 

Tragically, Margaret has since passed away, but her spirit and dedication live on in the work we continue to do. Layne now supports Eyamil's mother and father, along with many other members of the Naso family. Our connection with the Naso tribe is a cornerstone of Villa YOLO, and their culture and traditions enrich the experience we offer to our guests.

Our Mission

Villa YOLO is more than just a luxurious retreat; it is a project with a profound mission. By opening our home to visitors from around the world, we are able to support the education and employment of the Naso community. The income generated from Villa YOLO helps Eyamil's family build a permaculture farm, cultivating and selling their own fruit, thus achieving self-sufficiency and a better quality of life.
