We want to give you the holiday or experience of a lifetime. Layne, Ben, Edelma, and Alexander are committed to providing you with memories you will never forget. Edelma and Alexander are both indigenous members of the Naso Tjer Di tribe, and they work hard to provide a better life for many of their family members back in the tiny village of San San Druy in Panama. Alexander is an expert fisherman, and has a wide range of knowledge of medicinal plants. Their experiences and culture will enrich your stay with us at Villa Yolo, and we look forward to meeting you!ย
By visiting us at Villa Yolo, you are helping make a brighter future for Alexander, Edelma, and their son Eyamil. Not only that, but you are helping many of the lives of the indigenous tribe of the Naso Tjer Di; Villa Yolo is a proud supporter of HelpTheNasoTjerDi.org, which helps provide access to sustainable tourism to indigenous peoples living in Panama.ย

Layne and Margareta both come from Bolder Creek, California, where Layne worked as a computer engineer, while Margarita ran her own restaurant.ย
They shared many passions and interests, so it is no wonder that they got married and stayed that way for 34 years.ย

In 2013 they moved to Cahuita, Costa Rica, where they designed and built their dream home on the top of a hill with a beautiful view of the fishing village and national park below.ย
Tragically, Margarita has departed from this world, but luckily we still have Layne, whos love of nature, animals, and culture continues to inspire us to work hard and make the town we live in, and the world at large, a better place.ย
Layne and Margarita's vision of Heaven awaits you here at Villa Yolo. Their dream is now your paradise.ย
